As a budding Farmville farmer I’m sure you have started to set goals on the items you want as well as your ideal layout. There are a few Farmville tricks that can help those who might not realize that every item is going to take up a certain amount of space. Before you start grabbing all the items you want, you best make sure you have the space for them!

Requirements For The Most Popular Farmville Items

Farmville Crops

Crops will require a square space of 4×4. You probably know this one already since everyone gets crops.

Farmville Animals

Everyone loves their Farmville Animals but these critters will take up a lot of space. It is essential to plan carefully…

  • 1×1 plot – Chickens, Calfs, Ducks, Goats, Lambs, Pigs, Rabbits, Turkeys
  • 2×2 plot – Alpacas, Cows, Donkeys, Horses
  • 3×3 plot – my favorite, the Baby Elephant

Farmville Buildings

Everyone wants more Farmville Farm Buildings, but make sure you have the property to fit them!

  • 2×2 plot – Windmills, Wells, Rest Tents, Grain Silos, Gazebos, Fruit Stands
  • 3×5 plot – the ever popular Farmville Chicken Coop, which every farmer will discover is the most valuable building due to the accumulation of eggs.
  • 3×6 plot – your Work Shop
  • 4×4 plot – your Tool Shed
  • 4×6 plot – the Greenhouse
  • 6×8 plot – the Barn… who needs an over powering barn! There are more fun buildings to place!

Farmville Houses and Living Spaces

So you are at the point where you are making decent coin and are ready to purchase your own home! Before you do so, you might want to find out how large each house is. Failure to do so can destroy your farm!

  • 4×8 plot – Cottage and Log Cabin. Excellent small homes geared towards the most serious of farmers!
  • 5×8 plot – Farm House. Ok, you have some savings now. Pony up for a real house!
  • 6×11 plot – Manor… what to do with all those shiny coins?
  • 10×7 plot – Estate… you are kind of serious about Farmville, aren’t you?
  • 10×12 plot – Villa… can I get a loan?
  • 13×10 plot – Lodge… just don’t let the in-laws know!

Farmville Farm Equipment

Every farmer loves heavy duty farm equipment. Even heavy duty virtual equipment. But first make sure you have the room.

  • 4×2 plot – Tractor to speed up plowing
  • 4×2 plot – The Seeder will allow you to plant faster
  • 4×3 plot – A Harvester essentially puts the operation on autopilot

Farmville can be a bit overwhelming at times. The poor farmer that isn’t aware of space limitations is going to find out real quick what happens when you run out of property. We at Farmville Game Tips recommend that you start planning early, that way you minimize wasting money and space.
